2019年10月28日“方法驗證”是針對實驗室直接引用標準的情況。在標準方法投入使用之前，需要檢查并提供客觀證據，驗證實驗室在人員、設備、能力等各方面滿足運用此標準方法的要求。而“方法確認”是針對實驗室選擇非標準方法的情況，如實驗室制定的方法、超出預定范圍使用的標準方法、或其他修改的標準方法。
